🎨 Welcome
How do we use our creativity to embrace change and adapt to a new environemnt? I’ve been asking myself this question lately. I have a new home here in Ankara, the capital of Türkiye. Even though I’ve been living here for three years now, I still feel like I don’t know the city very well. So one of my new goals is to use my love for creative projects to get to know my new city better. Somehow, taking photos of the unique corners, the beautiful views, the things that stand out as different to me ...it helps me understand and relate to my surroundings better.
“Bloom where you’re planted.”
I’ve never loved this quote. I was on a journey from the moment I was born, it seems. Always on the move. But recently, I’ve realized I’m ready for a rest. I’m ready to not move again for a while. I’m ready to bloom right where I’m planted.
Wherever your creativity is taking you - around the corner or around the world- I’m sending love to you. Keep going. 🌿
Good journey,
🦋 Custom Portraits
I completed another custom portrait. (Read about them here.) I’m excited to make this cool new portrait series. The whole process - from beginning with a photograph, sketching out the idea, painting, and then adding the movement & sound - I love it.

Thanks, Emily. I love your photography as well as your art. I have always believed that blooming where you are planted is the first step toward enlightenment. May it be so.
Me encantan las fotos. Excellent color and compositions. Who knew that this medium might be your new creative medium … and the key to your new city.
