🎨 Welcome
Sometimes you just have to pick things up…and keep going.
I’ve spent quite a bit of time in recent years thinking about camels. I find them uniquely interesting for their ability to endure through sand storms and drought and seemingly overwhelming odds. I’ve enjoyed petting them and feeding them on the beach while in Southern Türkiye in the summertime.
Don’t come across many camels where I’m from in Southern Iowa.
I loved including camels in my new book. I like the quote, “A camel is a horse drawn by committee.” And, of course, the well-known, “You can lead a camel to water, but you can’t make it drink.”
Wherever you are with your creativity, I am sending love to you. You may need to just pick it up and keep going. Or set it down and keep going. Or leave it to drink later when it finally realizes it is thirsty…and keep going. Whatever the situation, I hope you will keep going toward your creative dreams.
Good journey,

🌸 The Details - Camel Page
Details from the camel page. This 2 page layout shows Charlie and Archie after they finish riding the camels at Cappadocia.
The story tells how the boys ride camels and Charlie wants to ride again, but Archie doesn’t want to. I read it to them and Archie announced that he would - very much indeed - like to ride a camel again. So, I’ll need to change the story a bit to match that beautiful contribution he made.
I have a goal to post my new portraits and videos up on my Instagram account as they flow out. I hope to connect with you there as well. @EmilyLupitaSeries
