šØ Welcome
How can we propell ourselves into a new season? One way Iāve found to help move things along in my creative life (and also in the other areas of our life) is to finally make the choice to accept what exists and then to surrender the situation to my higher power. In other wordsā¦
āLet go. And let God.ā
While Iām dedicated to my creative projects (and I feel like Iām a dedicated person overall) thereās so much wisdom in knowing when to quit trying to open a door that is locked from the other side. ā¤ļøāš„ Knowing when to stop and let go is an important skill that I have undervalued all my life. Now, I find it to be one of the most valuable ways to improve and advance my creativity and my happiness. By letting go of a door that is simply not opening, I can allow myself the opportunity to open a new door and step toward the light. Thatās where I want to go - toward the light.
Is there something you feel (deep down) that is holding you back from accessing the highest version of yourself? Is there something blocking you from moving forward toward your best moments of creativity? Sometimes itās okay to let go. And let God.
Good journey,
š Lupita Portraits Get Animated
Wowzers! Iām loving this new tech that allows me to play around with the movement, textures, and (even!) sounds of my Lupita portraits. Right now Iām really into adding the sound of wind chimes and flowers with fire inside.
Oh my! Hereās another one. Iām sharing these almost daily on my Instagram.
Let me know what you think in the comments.
šø Cappadocia Book - Enjoying the Creative Process
Iāve been trying to enjoy and appreciate the creative process as I work through the final edits and fixes for my new Cappadocia book. The paintings are so much more detailed and complicated than anything Iāve created before.
It can be frustrating to keep pushing back my publishing deadline for this book, but at the same time, Iām really growing as an artist. Iām so close to being ready to share it with the world. š
