🎨 Welcome
How do we know that we’ll ever find what it is we’re looking for? Whether it’s creative fulfillment, a better job, a loving relationship or a new friendship that we seek - how can we be sure it will find us? Especially when we feel we’re standing in darkness…how will we recognize each other?
Different traditions have different answers for this question. I love Rumi’s answer:
“What you seek is seeking you.”
It’s simple. It’s powerful. It’s inspiring. I want to believe that it is true. With this painting, I’m re-assuring myself that it is true. What I seek is seeking me. What you seek is seeking you.
Good journey,

🌸 Affirmations For {Autism} Mothers
In this series, I share some thoughts about my life as a mother to two young {Autistic} kiddos (diagnosed ASDL3 & ASDL2) in the hopes that it might encourage others who relate to aspects of my motherhood experience. And for those who haven’t had the experience of caring for an {Autistic} child, I hope to shine a light on some of the daily realities of {Autism} families like mine. It’s a book-in-progress. 💙
"I do what's best for my family" isn't just a mantra, it's a shield and a compass on this extraordinary journey. It whispers courage when the world feels overwhelming, reminding me that amidst the meltdowns and milestones, my love and dedication are the guiding lights. It embraces the messy reality of autism, where “best” might not always look conventional, and celebrates the unique rhythm of our home.
It grants me permission to prioritize my own well-being, knowing that a mother fueled by self-care is better equipped to navigate the storms.
"I do what's best for my family" is a promise whispered to myself, a quiet vow to my child, and a testament to the unwavering love that binds us together, even when the path ahead feels uncertain. It's the anchor that keeps us grounded, reminding us that in the face of challenges, our family, in all its beautiful complexities, is worth every ounce of strength and devotion.
